Questions about entering giveaways? Check out these FAQs
Why do I need to approve a Facebook application?
Some administrators of giveaways choose to utilize PromoSimple’s Facebook ‘Like’ validation process. This means that when you submit a Facebook ‘Like’ entry the entry form communicates with Facebook to verify that you ‘Like’ the page; this process also records your Facebook name for the giveaway’s administrator. In order for this information to be shared with the entry form by Facebook, you must first grant permission to PromoSimple by approving this application.
Why do I need to approve a Twitter application?
Some administrators of giveaways choose to utilize PromoSimple’s Twitter validation process for ‘Tweet’ and ‘Follow’ entries. This means that when you submit a ‘Tweet’ or ‘Follow’ entry the entry form communicates with Twitter to verify that the action has taken place. This application also records your Twitter name and the URL of the ‘Tweet’ for the giveaway administrator. In order for this information to be shared with the entry form by Twitter, you must first grant permission to PromoSimple by approving this application. The application must Twitter’s standard permission settings; no action is taken without being initiated by the entrant and does not access direct messages.
What happens with data submitted in an entry form?
The data that you submit to the entry form is securely stored and can be accessed by the administrator of the giveaway. PromoSimple does not use or sell any personally identifiable data. Please read our Privacy Policy for more information.
Why do I only see an ‘Entry Form is Loading’ message?
PromoSimple entry forms are structured to not load (in the meantime you will see a ‘Form is Loading’ image) until the entire website has loaded. This is to ensure that a PromoSimple entry form will never slow down the load time of a website or any of it’s features.
If a webpage that hosts an entry form also contains a large volume of content (JavaScript, images, etc.) it may take a bit of time for the site to finish loading before the entry form will display. This will be particularly noticeable for slower internet connections.
